Crafternoons - July: Session 1 - Drawing Techniques & Frottage Craft Activity

The project for the July sessions is:

Drawing Techniques & Frottage Craft Activity

Join us for a double themed session exploring simple drawing techniques, and frottage (an artistic technique involving taking rubbings from textured surfaces to create patterns). Participants will use pencils and paper to create unique patterns by placing paper over textured surfaces such as leaves, flowers, and everyday objects. This calming, playful activity encourages creativity and mindfulness.

No experience needed. Just bring your curiosity and any interesting textures you’d like to explore!

In your kit:

  • Paper & Pencil

What you will need on the day:

  • A clean desk and light working space.

  • Items that have textures to use during the process.

  • Optional: extra materials to customise your artwork, e.g. crayons, charcoal, coloured pencil, etc to make your artwork unique.

Before the session:

  • Look online for ideas and inspiration
