Counselling for carers

On some days, caring might not be too challenging, but on other days, it can become quite overwhelming.

It might be helpful to speak with a professional counsellor who can help talk through your concerns with you.

“Counselling has been fabulous. The sessions have been really helpful and I have been using the tools I have learnt.”

If you’re a carer, you might find that you often put the needs of the person you care for before your own needs. But remember, it’s important and okay to look after yourself too.

Taking regular breaks and looking after your mental and physical health can help prevent you from becoming ill or too stressed.

It’s important for your own wellbeing that your mental and physical condition is in good shape, as this can also positively affect your caring role.
